A huge congratulations to Jenny Frison as the Harvey Award nominations were announced today, and there’s another point for the Dream Team! Jenny Frison was nominated for Best Cover Artist for the variant covers she did for The Dreamer by IDW! Congrats Jenny!! They were all stunning and so is her more recent work that she has been doing for Angel.

So you’re probably noticing that there is only a one page update this week. I regret to tell you that The Dreamer will only be updating one page a week for the rest of the summer. I realize this is coming on the heels of a lively (and unexpected) debate that sprung up about my commitment to The Dreamer. This decision was made several weeks ago–even before the ill-fated camping trip. That some are thinking I’m not committed to The Dreamer or that I don’t give it my all makes it harder to stick to this decision, but I promised people I love that I would do this, and so I’m keeping my word.

Since Mike got the new Store up and running, I thought it was a waste to have a two-issue old wallpaper still on the donate button. So I made a new one! The Dreamer gang heads to the beach.

Use the yellow Donate button at the top of the Store Page, donate any amount to The Dreamer, and you’ll be emailed a link right away where you can download the file. Comes in three different screen resolutions!

I have it on my computer right now and it is adorable. Totally getting me in the mood for summer!

Wow, I honestly am super excited!! As a gift to my overworked, wonderful, generous, amazing wife, I worked day and night until my eyes bled this week to give my wife a halfway decent store for the site that I’m not totally ashamed of. :)

What you will find different is that aside from donations, I’ve added shopping cart functionality. You will notice that on the store and blog pages, there is a place in the sidebar that shows you the number of items in your cart.

Also, instead of having to click on a link (that is rather small and hidden, IMO) on the paypal receipt page, you will be emailed an encrypted link for digital content. This link will be good for 48hrs after purchase and will come in addition to the paypal email reciept.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be tweaking certain design things, but everything should function properly. Donating hasn’t changed, and is still it’s own button on the site (mostly because I haven’t figured out how to incorporate it into the cart yet– baby steps).

What this also means, is that now that we have a suitable foundation in place for expansion, we will move forward with plans (that we’ve had for *cough cough* faaaar too long) to bring more Dreamer products out for sale. So if you have anything you want to see that you’d buy, give us some ideas! T-shirts are coming at some point, and we already have some designs in the works. But hopefully over time and with a little patience, we’ll get this puppy rolling with even more content, both digital and physical.
