Conventions

I’ll be at two shows over the next two weeks, and I hadn’t officially posted either yet so I thought I’d do so. This weekend, October 3rd & 4th I’ll be a guest at Mid Ohio Con, right here in Columbus, Ohio! I’ll be taking commissions at the show, and I’ll have copies of the Graphic Novel available. I’ll also be on two panels on Sunday, Webcomics at 12:00 on Sunday, and Indie Comics & Small Press at 3:oo also on Sunday. Come on out for one of the panels, or swing by my booth to say hello!

Next weekend I’ll be at Baltimore Con, October 10th & 11th, and somehow Alan Evans (who helps out on The Dreamer colors) got a table right next to me! I did a guest story on his webcomic Rival Angels last month, if you’ll recall, so it’ll be a fun weekend I’m sure! The Harvey Awards are held at the Baltimore Comic Con, so we’re excited (and nervous) about that.

I’ll be taking commissions at that show as well, though I won’t be taking any online like I have in the past. If you were waiting for commissions to open, I apologize! Look for another signup list in the Spring when the new Convention season starts. I’m trying to keep up with Dreamer Pages so that I don’t have to miss any more updates.

Baltimore Con, eh? I moved out of Pittsburgh right before you started going to the Comic Con up there, and was so upset when I found out, but now I have a heck of an incentive to go to Bal’mur.

Question for you — I know that at some point you posted an order form for the comics/graphic novel that we could take to bookstores. The big-box store I used to work for wasn’t interested, but one of my favorite secondhand shops *is*, and I couldn’t find the link to the form so I could print it out to give them. Could I have that link again, please?

Hey, AngelVixen! The sell sheet is here: http://thedreamercomic.com/sell_sheet.pdf

Thanks so much for continuing to pimp the graphic novel for us!!

See you in Baltimore then! :)

Well I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to make it seeing as I’m stuck in Texas… ;) Have fun at those cons!!

By the way, I saw that you posted my video on your Twitter… You’re too sweet! lol XD

Have fun at the conventions! I’m totally doing the Baltimore one next year. ;)

Good luck with The Harvey Awards. I’m rooting for you!

Hey, Lora — it’s not a problem. I’m happy to spread the news that you’re out there! Word-of-mouth is vital (but sadly underrated), especially to people who don’t necessarily read webcomics or know what’s out there. For example, a teacher friend the other day was complaining that she couldn’t find Revolutionary War materials that could help connect her high school girls to their lessons, and when I told her about “The Dreamer,” she was so excited to come find you. She’d never thought about going online for “nontraditional” help!

My boyfriend and I have never been to any incarnation of Comic-Con, so he didn’t need much convincing to go with me — we hope to come see you! *keeps her fingers crossed*
