I’ve done my art since issue #1 with the intent of getting it published, and it really is a sad moment each Friday when I upload my pages all small and saved in web colors, and half the detail disappears.

Huzzah! Congrats, Lora! I won’t get to see my copy until Dec. 3 or 4, because I go for the once a month shipment option on my orders from mailordercomics.com. It’s good to know it’s out though, because that guarantees it will make the next shipment at the end of this month. Can’t wait to hold it in my hot little hands! I’ve already got The Dreamer on my electronic pull list and ordered #3 this morning with this month’s order. Yes, I ordered #2 last month, too. :-) Ironically, I’ve mostly gotten out of buying print comics as I am more or less broke and also disgusted beyond belief with Marvel and their marketing strategies. I used to be a huge X-Men fan but I lost interest several mega universe-changing events ago. Nowadays, I buy the half a dozen comics each month I can afford from smaller publishers like IDW who are still concerned with telling great stories that cover a wide range of sci-fi/fantasy themes and pray that the publisher doesn’t vanish into the night just when the comic gets interesting. IDW is big enough that I don’t have to worry about that particular problem. The Dreamer is exactly the type of comic I like, self-contained, well-plotted storyline thought out from beginning to end like a good novel, great characterization and relationships, great art, lots of drama and humor, and an original plot I’d characterize as historical fantasy. With The Dreamer in print and on the web, I get two for one: a Friday fix on the web, and nice print comics to re-read and cherish. Thank you!

Hey Miranda! Both TFAW and HeavyInk ordered more of The Dreamer, and have all three issues available again.
There was some confusion. Available means how many they *preordered*. Issue #2 comes out in December, #3 in January, etc…
Only Issue #1 (with both covers) is on sale now!

I picked mine up today… they didn’t have the alternate cover…. but they do have “The Dreamer” on their main display wall. :) Which is awesome.
