Fan Art Friday!

Did everyone have a great Thanksgiving yesterday?  Kicking back and over-eating at the in-laws is always a great time for me.  And a week without deadlines feels good.  :)

So, did you all read the Thanksgiving short story yet?  If not, you can still get it!  Click on the “Buy Now” button on the sidebar (here at the main site, if you’re reading on an RSS feed) and once the transaction is complete, there will be a “Return to Merchant” option.  Click that and voila, you’ll find the link to the PDF, as well as links to the Knowlton’s Rangers wallpaper as a bonus!  I’ve heard many good things about it from all of you so far.  :)

Oh, and it’s also pre-order time for Issue #4!  Hit up your comic shops and give them the Diamond order code: DEC084125  Or, order online at Heavy Ink, or International orders can be made from TFAW, though it doesn’t look like they have Issue #4 available yet.

And since it’s Friday, I wanted to give you a little something!  New Alan Warren Fan Arts!

The first one is by Sarah Vaughn, and the second by Rival Angels’ Alan Evans, both long time Dreamer fans!

I also got three wonderful videos from Erin!  Check ‘em out!  I love the songs she picked!

[ Video #1, Video #2, Video #3 ]

And VOTE this week to see a preview from next Friday’s update!  See you then!

Oh wow, I love the preview for next week. They look … intense! :O

    Glad you had a good Thanksgiving! I didn’t, because I don’t celebrate it. :p

  2. Jenn says:

Wow. Those videos are pretty darn cool!

  3. Beatrice says:

Oh noes! Epic fighting is usually epic, but this match-up makes me sad…don’t fight you two! Please don’t fight! It will make Bea sad! D:

And yay for fan art! |3

  4. Erin says:

Ahh, oh my gosh, Lora!! You have no idea how much I was freaking out when I saw you posted the vids I made!! XD Haha, and I’m soo happy that you like them ^___^ Aw, you’re awesome, lol.

Darn, my friend told me the Thanksgiving story was really good, but I haven’t gotten it yet -__- I’ll have to get it soon!

  5. Kendall says:

I just read your Thanksgiving short story, I loved it! But couldn’t help brooding after because there are no such guys like Alan any longer! *groans*

  6. brenda says:

The Thanksgiving story is soooo cute! I love that little family! And you finally told us the exact age difference between Alan and Bea! I remember a lot of us were wondering about back in issue two or thereabouts and you refused to spill, thanks for finally ending the suspense!

  7. Hannah17 says:

I like the fan art!! I wish I could draw…And the picture on the vote page looks so intense!!! I wish they didn’t have to fight. And I loved the Thanksgiving story!! I’ve read it a thousand times already. Hope you had a good holiday!

  8. Hannah17 says:

And I love the vids! Is that picture of Alan and Bea standing by the window a fan art or something? I don’t remember seeing it before. Whatever it is it’s really good!

  9. Natalie says:

Hannah the window picture is an early cover taken from the drunk duck site.

Yay, heavyink finally sent me my orders, the Christmas shopping for my friends is done.

Long-time reader, first-time commenting. I’m just curious, have you ever heard of the character Guybrush Threepwood from the Curse of Monkey Island games? Alan certainly stands up on his own as a character, but I suddenly saw the site today and thought, “What would happen if Guybrush and Alan met…?”

I’m definitely considering getting my mom the comics in print. She’s a huge fan of 18th-century nautical history and the American Revolution.

  11. Albone says:

Yah! The voting incentive makes me think someone’s getting a mudhole stomped in them and walked dry, and his name is not Alan! Hale needs to get taken down a peg or two, courtesy of a fist sandwich to the teeth! XD

  12. Dani says:

    “Wow!” to everything this week!

Great, great Thanksgiving story, Lora. The only sad thing about the story was that there were only eleven pages–I could have easily (and desperately wanted to) read 100 more! =)

Wonderful videos, Erin. I especially like #2–”Pieces!”

And nice job on the fan art Sarah and Rival Angels!

  13. Doug says:

Happy belated Thanksgiving! Great videos by the way.
