New Page #26: The Tory Girl.

New Page #26!

The nervous subaltern says Yes Sir.

We haven't seen this guy or his little friends in awhile.

John is just so pleasant, isn’t he? Sunshine and roses.

So, I’d like to ask you a favor if you enjoy The Dreamer: We need more book reviews. Positive reviews increase The Dreamer’s ranking, and will make the book more visible to people on Amazon’s site as well as Goodreads. So if you like the comic and feel like helping out, a positive review and a high star rating will go a long way. Thank you!  Here are the links: Amazon Vol 1, Amazon Vol 2, Goodreads Vol 1, Goodreads Vol 2.

While I’m on the subject of asking, we could use ratings on IMDB for To Appomattox, a new series about the Civil War. (#9 on that list.) Most of you know I’m writing three graphic novels that will tie into this new television mini-series which airs next summer. Take a minute to rank the show (10 stars!)– it will help out a lot as it shows the TV big wigs that yes, people are excited about history.

(And if you’re interested, you can follow the To Appomattox Fan Page on FB for updates about the show.)

Thank you!

As always, VOTE to preview the next page!

Vote for The Dreamer!

“I hope Tory girl hurries up.” LOL. Love it.

Oh, is that where those boys ended up. Some place a little more useful…

  2. KitakLaw says:

Good job on this – and…”Tory girl”??? Well, I guess it’d be true, as far as some of the Patriots were concerned, but still.

That being said…am I the only one who mistook the preview thumbnail for a picture of Alan from a flashback? *headdesk*

    • Julie says:

The eyes are the giveaway that it’s not Alan. :) I had to do a double-take before I realized it wasn’t him. Then I read Lora’s notes and went, “Yep! Not Alan!” :)

  3. Brent says:

Oh, man…..*laughs again* …..between Tory Girl and the stretcher, I think John might be my new favorite Warren brother. :D

So, how close exactly are we to March 23? ;) ;)

    Similarly….three more months….Sigh…

    INCENTIVE CAPTION!!!

Alan: “Hello ma’am, we’re selling longrifles in support of the Massachusetts Provincial Congress, and–”
    Door: SLAM!
Jack: “Maybe you should let me talk….”
Alan: “Maybe I should just sell you…”

    hehe great update :)

  5. Half Moon says:

Haha! Oh, I now really do love Jack….I think right now his last name should be “Harkness”…<3
Oh, and when he gets on here…@David: I'm not published. But one of these days click on my name, it's a link to my blog about the books.

  6. Hannah says:

I love this page so much, and I’m not even sure why. I think it’s because it’s infused with John’s awesomeness EVERYWHERE. He’s my new favourite character, not even joking.

  7. Faith says:

OMG I love that man’s mouth! I always suspected John and I were soul mates and now I am sure of it!!

  8. Niki says:

Not gonna lie; John’s pretty epic here, bossing around the (mostly useless and very snappish) redhead who thinks he’s a high-flying officer. ;)

Who’s the man next to Alan..is it, in that last panel?

  9. I’m starting to really love John. Not that I had anything against him before, of course, but I’ve loved the flashback and the peek into Alan’s past. They’ve been fantastic!

  10. Cheryl Hopper says:

John is awesome! I love how he finishes Alan’s sentence in the last panel. *G*

  11. Jen says:

I chuckled a little at the dialog over the poor dead guy on the stretcher.

Also, that one bit – “A Tory, her father is” – Please tell me I’m not the only one who heard that in Yoda’s voice?

    Please?

  12. trevor says:

Ha ha ha, nice. Another fantastic page, Lora. The little bits of humor in here really help lighten the situation, connect readers to the characters, and also remind us that while times and situations are dire, people are still people. And people love to laugh.

  13. Tamesin says:

    VI Incentive Caption, #2:
    Jack: “Say it, say it…”
Alan: “Um, do you have Prince Albert… in a can?”
    Maid: “No.”
    Alan: “Uh…….”
    Jack: “Run!”

Boy, if it’s as cold as it looks, I sure hope Joe’s toga is fleece-lined.

  14. nessili says:

Speaking of Yoda, I just saw this, and thought somebody here might get a kick out of it…
I think Knowlton with a lightsaber would have been pretty awesome :)

Still here. Broken laptop; reading via phone and Mum’s computer. I’ll comment again when I am able but I’m still here I promise! lol I didn’t forget this week.

Are more issues coming to Comixology soon?
