New Page #7!

"John, that is the LAST time you talk me into a midnight White Castle run..."
A big welcome to those of you I met at Otakon! If you’re joining us for the first time, I’m glad you followed the link on the flier. We hope you enjoy the story–you picked an exciting story arc to jump into!
I’ll be posting my official post-con report for Otakon on Monday, but in the meantime, suffice it to say it was another amazing show. I’m going to go out on a limb and say “best show ever” for more reasons than one.
Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello, listen to my pitch, or buy my book!
Today we have a special voting incentive. This is a cut paper commission of Bea that I ordered from Sam Garvey at Anime Boston in April. It arrived right before I left for Otakon. So beautiful!
- *VOTE to see a cut-paper Bea commission!*

There she goes!!!!
Run Bea run!!! Though it will not save Nathan…
Oh, and does anybody notice the painting to the left of Yevette?
You mean to the right? ;)
Ha! Oops. I did mean the right!
It was the blog gremlins at it again.
It’s a painting of the Constitutional Convention.
It’s on the $2 bill! (er, right?)
No Jefferson wasn’t at the Constitutional Convention, he was in Paris. The painting on the two dollar is the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
*shuffles feet, kicks rock*
:P
poor Bea! But I suppose really it’s poor Nathan!
@Amber: AHhahahahahaaaaa, painting :-P
Alright! Miss Smith! We finally got a real name for the teacher! Although I have to say, I’m kinda gonna miss pretending you had snuck an adult Caera into the comic….
Also, Bea? You’re almost being even less subtle than Nathan. Just sayin’…..
On the VI: Ooooo, pretty….
INCENTIVE CAPTION!!!!
Bea: “I got to have a shot! Uh, oo….of what you got, it’s oh so sweet….”
(18,000 points to the first person to get that reference)
“Miss Smith” is Rachel Smith. My friend, and Nathan Hale historian. We worked on the New London Nathan Hale School House exhibit together, though I’ve known her for a lot longer than that.
Whom I sort-of met at the symposium, but we didn’t know about our mutual connection, right? :)
@Brent It’s ok, if Lora cameos me she’ll probably do it at a very sad point. O.o lol teasing, Lora!
We could all be wallflowers at the Halloween Dance!
HA!
At some point I need to open cameo commissions for the gals. The guys got to appear at Bunker Hill.
Omw, yes yes YES!!!!
Why Lora, that’s almost enough to make me think that the guy breaking the news ( http://www.thedreamercomic.com/comic.php?id=394 ) really is me. :-)
In some ways you know that guy already. But he isn’t you!
Okay the song Bebe was singing in the VI was “Gimme all your lovin’” by ZZ Top
Hey Brent….guess what movie I just the trailer for….it comes out of Dec. 14th…
Oh noes, popping the sleeping pills already?! Or getting around to doing all the research she can to help Nathan? UGH THE SUSPENSE!
& this page is so beautiful with its John/Bea’ness! I really love how John shows so much of concern (and that “Bebe” oh good gosh, I love it so much!) for her, seeing that she’s clearly been out of it for a while. Liz and Yvette are concerned about their best friend too but John always makes himself out to be that annoying brother who picks on you whenever he can so when I see him like this, it really breaks my heart. Helpless John is feeling helpless!!
Agreed. :) John wins some points for this one. :)
Poor Bea :(. She had to find out eventually, of course. I thought She looked somewhat unconcerned in the first picture though. But the visible sweat in the next picture cleared any doubt, haha
Is having mixed emotions….Where we are in the comic…it’s going too fast and draging out at the same time….. T.T
Oh, and I feel for Bea, I did the 12am White Castle while I was in Ohio too…and I got the sliders with pepper jack cheese….not the best idea after Kings Island and bowling 8 games.
I love John.
That cut-paper piece is exquisite!
And now if Nathan would also excuse himself to the bathroom – and climb out a window – all of our problems would be solved.
I don’t know how going to the bathroom will help her at all…in less she’s actually ditching school and running home for a nap. Even so, I still say that she can’t do anything about it…she’s too far from where he is. She swore off trying to change history! I know it’s hard, but she should know better by now!
Can you tell I’m flipping out trying to guess how this will play out?…Because I am….flipping out that is…
Me too!!
Whoa @ Voting Incentive! *pirouette and fall over*
Poor Bea, she can’t catch a break. Off-topic, John seems the sort to go to White Castle. Bleh. lol
Looks like someone’s suffering from a little PCD – post crave discomfort.
However, I bet her adventure in finding the nearest White Castle was awesome. Involving car chases, alien abductions, and Neil Patrick Harris rolling on E….
Best weekend ever.
Oy to the PCD…
Can I just say how cute I think it is that John has a nickname for his cousin? They may not always get along, but when he thinks she’s not actually feeling well, the concern is so cute~!
Oh poor Bea! I remember when I first learned of Nathan’s fate.
Also John’s earlier mocking of Nathan is exactly how every guy I know reacts when I tell them about Nathan Hale. He’s so awesome all they can do is make fun at his not too good spying abilities.
I’m defiantly startin to love this John too!
This is one of John’s rare “nice guy” moments. Enjoy it while it lasts because he’ll be back to his usual jerky self soon enough.
honestly…the snarkiness makes me think one of two things…
1: Lora based him off of Tony Stark and just won’t admit it.
2: he’s Hammy in the 21st century.
I’m good with either option :3
I love the first panel. It conveys the emotion very well. I can hear the blood roaring in her ears, making everything numb.
