Guess what? The printed version of The Dreamer Issue #3 comic book is now available for pre-order from IDW Publishing! The order code you need for your comic shop is: NOV084161 The two online sites I’ve posted before both have it listed (TFAW and Heavy Ink) and they both also have issue #1 back in stock in case you missed it! Jenny Frison is doing the variant cover for issue 3, and I’ve seen her roughs for it and just believe me when I say it is a lot of fun!
New Pages 18 & 19 this week!

I… did not think that page 19 would take me as long as it did. I hope you enjoy it. It’s one of the pages I’m most proud of in the entire story so far. You can make it, Alan! You’re almost there!!
One last bit of news: I’m looking for contact information for editors of local (U.S.) newspapers in towns that have an interest in history. Live in a place that you think would care about The Dreamer? I’m sending out press releases and would love to add your local paper to my list of contacts! Just shoot me an email with PRESS CONTACT in the subject line. To those of you who already have, thank you!
Aaaand VOTE ! I know, I know, you’re all tired of voting this week I’m sure. ;) But there are no lines to cast this vote and when you do, you can preview the Dreamer Thansgiving Story which will be available in the next few weeks! It tells the story of how a certain Mr. Warren and a certain Miss Whaley met back in 1772. C’mon, you don’t want to miss that, do you?!

Ha! Alan proves what a world class soldier he is. Outnumbered, he still lays the smackdown on the Hussian, er, Hessian, or whatever their names are…the smackdown on their candy ass. Now all he’s gotta do is scale that wall and he’s home free. What’s could be difficult about that?
Ah Beatrice, eyes wide open! Big green eyes, giving me a chill. I just hope when she wakes up, it won’t be to a hospital bed and a stomach pump. Seems like she’s been out for a decade, not that I’m complaining. From the Voting Incentive, Bea’s trouble no matter what century she’s in. XD
Page 19 came off well, I can see why you dig it, if nothing else for the sheer tension of it. Looks like one of ours didn’t make, from the first panel.
And hey! Nice new banner at the top.
FORT. FOOOOOOOOOOORT. THEY HAVE CANNONS. <3
And dude… poor Bea. She’s probably gonna be sick all over that dress at this rate. Such a gruff boy your are Alan. xD
ANNNNNND, I don’t know if it’s IDW or what, but I ordered all three of the comics from HeavyInk back in the last week of October and they’re still processing and haven’t even been shipped yet. Granted they won’t take my money until then, but this is getting a bit ridiculous. They were all in stock when I ordered, as well. So… Heavy Ink might not be the best choice guys. :<
Bwa Ha Ha Ha! Leaving a trail of bodies behind hi–I MEAN… Oh, my.
This Thanksgiving story sounds interesting, but will we still be able to buy the Nathan Hale short story? for some reason Pay Pal had a hard time with my card, so I havn’t really been able to get it.
WOW! Great!
In the last panel on 19, where is Bea?
Hey technically im Hessian (and they wore green right?)
anyhow.
The art and story = awesome!
I am always eager for dreamer Friday.
The thanksgiving story sounds sooo cute!
Hey everyone!
First, those guys are British Dragoons. The Hessians were in Issue #4, in the green & red coats. To be fair, Hessians also had a blue and red uniform, but it looks an *awful* lot like the American uniform that the southern troops wore, so I used the green & red coat in the last issue. But *these* guys are official British Redcoats.
Saknika, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Heavy Ink. “In Stock” means however many they *preordered*. The Dreamer isn’t out anywhere yet. I think Issue #1 will come out NEXT week, #2 comes out in December and #3 comes out in January. I don’t even have a copy yet. :) When the comic is released, the online shops will send them to you.
Brenda, you absolutely will still be able to buy the Nathan Hale short story. I think Mike is going to do some major site restructuring around here and when that happens, there will be a “Store” section, with the short stories, hopefully the wallpapers (so you can pick which one you want) and *cough*teeshirts*cough*
Lostintime she and Knowlton are, erm, around the corner…? ^^;
I was strangely impressed with the pool of blood on page 19.
Also enjoyed the Thanksgiving short story. For some reason the mention of Mercy Otis Warren really thrilled me. Engaging writing style.
Love the new header of the site! Now I can visit often just to look at Alan. hehe!
Great pages too. :)
Love, love the short story so far. Probably because I would do something similar if I was crushing on a boy… er… snooping for information. Page 19 is awesome, though I think I heart the conversation between Knowlton and Bea better (and of course the interactions with Bea and Alan). You write them so well. I do hope Bea is OK in her own time. Will she wake up soon?
Bea the snoozing wonder. What a powerful page, and I can’t wait to read your story!
You’re art is absolutely stunning and the story is great, keep it up! =) I know I’ll be checking back.
I’m a little dense, what are all those poles sticking out from the walls of the fort? Are they supposed to looks like muskets? Or are they to keep people from climbing over?
This is the problem with 18th century ladies’ wear. It looks gorgeous and gives you awesome (sometimes over-awesome) cleavage, but you it’s really hard to fight in it (not to say it’s impossible…).
WAAAAY too excited for the short story! Woot woot!
WOOHOO! Finally got my preorder in!
Asa, the poles are there to prevent headlong charges at the fort, I believe. Possibly with horses.
Good job, guys! You’ve reached the fort! <3 It’s going to be okay, Bea. Isn’t Alan so awesome when he’s in war mode? XD
I want to buy the whole Thanksgiving story…maybe I will…but I need to sell some commissions, first, for Christmas money! ^^;
Oh my gosh, I LOVE the new heading with Alan and the lightening!
Dang. Those are some strong drugs Bea took, like, eighty years ago. Really, what was it? Issue 3? Is she dead? Like Albone said, not that I’m complaining, mind you. I’m just a little worried about our heroine’s health back in the 21st century. :S
Ohhhh, I thought the comic books were out the minute you told us about each issue. ^^; My bad.
Aww, hey, Beatrice–it’ll only be $5. A girl has to make a living somehow. ^^; And I promise you, this is one of my favorite pieces of “Dreamer Literature” that I’ve ever, ever written.
And Webmaster Mike did a fab job on that new header, didn’t he? !!!
Bea will wake up, guys, I promise! But I’m not telling when! ^__^
Oh, in that case. XD //searches around for $5// …I know I’ve got some rainy day money in here somewhere…
Mike sure DID do an awesome job. |3 Now onto t-shirts!
I wouldn’t be surprised if she stayed asleep all the way past the Battle of Long Island, to be honest. ^^; That’s some strong stuff, Bea.
Hi! Have I not commented yet? Oh yeash, must make it to the fort!!!
For those interested in how young people were involved in our struggle for Independence there is a upcoming movie in production based of the Sybil Ludington story. It is being filmed for educators and the like. On the evening of April 26, 1777 the 16 year old girl from Freidsburg, Connecticut rode in the middle of a thunderstorm to warn the country side of the British troops advance and the burning of Danbury, Connecticut.

Yum! x3 I loved it. I have to say that I laughed a bit at Bea, though. omghejustkilledhim!! o___o;;
… it’s a war, hunny. >patpat<
DDD:;;; ALAN’S NOT AN ANGEL!??!
I have to say that I’m falling more in love with Knowlton each page he gets though. x3
… WAIT. DID I SEE SOMETHING ABOUT TEE-SHIRTS?
omfgomfg. ;A; I WANT ONE. All of my APUSH friends would get them, I’m sure. x33 We’d wear them around school like a symbol of pride. :’D
… or just as an obsession. ;xD
See? Meg agrees with me. :x Lora, we want SHIRTS. LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE, WOMAN. <3
Having read through this whole thing in less than a day (sleep allowed), I’m wondering what happens when Bea wakes up. Like, does the 1776 version of her go back to Beatrice?? Ah, well…..questions I know will be answered in time. Oh, and send a thank you to Barb Jacobs for sending me this way when she pointed out that Yvette was dressed up as Tychia. Also, the donation story is excellent. Buy it, people! The new guy commands it!
Tee-shirts? Hmmmm….I got an idea for one that says, “I like my life better when I’m dreaming” in old English script. ^_^
Hey, if she gets badly injured in 1776, will she have the injury when she wakes up in 2008? COME ON, CLIP HER ON A PIKE BY ACCIDENT, TOMMY!!!!
I mean, that would be horrible. Yes. Horrible. *shifty eyes* X-P
Did someone say t-shirts? With Alan’s pretty face on it? Or maybe Thom’s? Mmm, Knowlton…with his rugged Harrison Ford/Patrick Swayze good looks. :3
*yells across the house* “Oh Mother! I know what’s going on my Christmas list!” :P
Ooooh!!! I wanna T-shirt! Okay, so this is my first time writing a comment even though I’ve been obsessed with this comic for like, 2 months now. Just wanna say I LOVE IT and IT’S AWESOME! I can’t wait for the new story to come out! Yay! I’m so excited! It’s kinda pathetic how excited I am, actually…I live for Fridays….Oh well! Now I can tell my mom what I want for Christmas!! Woo-Hoo!!!!
Hee hee. We have a few shirts designed, but webmaster/graphic designer/husband who-works-all-the-time Mike has to finish the last two.
Hey, Brent! Yes, it was awesome of Barb to link to me, and since you’re new around here, go check out the #1 cover again–she colored it! ^___^ As for what happens to Bea well, she doesn’t *disappear* Dreamland Chronicles-style, if that’s what you mean. It appears she has two bodies…? Hmm. Not sure how that works. :)
Yup, that two bodies thing is what I meant. Of course, thast brings up another question, but I won’t ask it just now :)
