So, I’ve been running a really hard race with The Dreamer since we started over a year ago. Yesterday I uploaded issue #1 to IDW to be printed. I feel… very accomplished right now and also utterly and completely spent. So after talks with a friend and my father-in-law, I decided to take their advice and give myself two weeks vacation. I know… that sucks for all of you. But really, it’ll be a better Dreamer and a better Mike & Lora if I do this.
So no update next Friday. I’ll be in Virginia Beach with my extended family for our annual family vacation. (My grandfather and uncle put on funny hats and ride around in tiny cars in a parade. Then my cousins and sisters and I play frisbee in the dark… and try not to kill each other. Or is that try to kill each other…? I’m never quite sure.) After that The Dreamer will be back on track until mid-October when I’m taking a second week off to take my husband to New England for a few days for his 30th birthday and to *cough*visittheNathanHaleHouse*cough* ;)
I’m sorry to disappoint! You know I love you all, and love all your support!

Take the break you need Lora! And should you want to make a long drive, next weekend is the Revolutionary War reenactment at Fort Ticonderoga as well. But most importantly, enjoy your time with your family. We’ll try not to mourn too much. x3

I finally sat down to read The Dreamer, and what a hilarious finale! Absolutely awesome. You’ve transformed me into a fan. Where has this comic been all my life?
And now to learn there will be a break in updates? Where will I get my fix now? *twitch twitch*

I’m not sure ‘It’s nothing that I haven’t seen before,’ has ever really worked so kind of refreshing that it did. The end result though, is one more reason for Alan to whup Nathan’s ass! XD
Is it bad that when I read about General Howe, I think of the Darth Vader music? I know he wasn’t as bad as Vader in real life, but he’s the big bad and deserves respect.

lol! We liked the pink logo! ^^ We wondered if we’d get it past my editor but he actually okayed it. What a great girly cover! :) Jenny actually said she tried all sorts of colors, but the pink just worked best with her painting.
This is honestly a fantastic comic. Nathan Hale in particular is wonderful. There’re going to be some hard moments in the story, methinks.
Oh, and Lora, when you’re driving to New England…you must past by New Jersey! PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE?!

If you get a chance/want to, you should swing into MA and visit Lexington and Concord. Really beautiful towns, GREAT old cemeteries, etc. It’d probably be a 2ish hour drive from CT.
I’m going out there later because I’ve only ever seen it in the spring (for the re-enactment) and I want to get pictures of it during my favourite season.

I’m sorry I’m not in CT anymore, or I’d go to Nathan Hale’s schoolhouse too! I’m in Woods Hole, MA now, taking classes and doing lots of work (currently procrastinating about homework). If you feel like checking out the oldest privately run biological laboratory in America, let me know :) although not too much Revolutionary history that I know of in this area. The British did stop by Martha’s Vineyard, and they wanted to use Vineyard Haven’s flagpole for a mast, but three of the Island girls snuck out in the middle of the night and blew it up with gunpowder so they couldn’t! Martha’s Vineyard has great whaling history though. If you do come through, I might be able to persuade Steve to come up as well!
