Some of you have been asking for awhile now whether Bea is going to sleep through her date. Well, stop reading this and go find out! These pages were fun just because they have color. (All that rain was depressing me!)
Over at Drunk Duck, I’ve done a number of contests where I ask a trivia question about some historical fact that pertains to that day’s update. The winner gets a free copy of The Dreamer Teaser Comic. I realized that I haven’t done a contest here on the main site (my bad!) so I’m going to remedy my error. Contest! The first person to identify the artist of each self portrait in the above banner wins! We’ll see who was paying attention in Art History class…!
Well, things are crazy busy but exciting over here at Dreamer HQ. Mike and I have our hands full trying to get a few things ready for you in the next few months. I thought I’d give you a taste:
-The Dreamer will soon be available for download on WOWIO. More details to come!
-We’re also prepping Issues #1 & #2 for the printers… which will include a brand new Issue #1 cover!
-A friend of mine who works for Disney is painting the cover to Issue #4. I could show you the sketch, but I’ll make you wait. Take it from me, it’s going to be beautiful.
-Finally, I’ve been working with a writer to release the first ever official Dreamer fiction. This story will contain illustrations by yours truly, and tells the tale of a secret mission that Knowlton’s Rangers were sent on two months before the events in The Dreamer take place. I’ve scripted most of it already and if you like our boys in blue, you’ll love this.
-New voting incentive today! Vote for The Dreamer to see a character sketch of Sarah Mulligan-Whaley. You know… Bea’s mom.

*love* the story and that i have no idea where you’re going with it – it’s not predictable at all and it’s rare when you can introduce the popular high school girl as someone readers find likable – good going – if you find a good distributor i think it will sell!

I can’t wait to check out your number 4 cover, sounds the way-cool. And how awesome is it to be on WOWIO? Congratulations on that, I’ll be sure to download a few times. Your fiction/prose idea is tremendous and will work solidly with your subject matter (as opposed to say, superheroes or wrestling) and you can work out any of those wonderful moments that can’t make time in the Dreamer comic. Now how about an animated short?!! jk lol

Ooops forgot to mention how cool the comic pages are! I’m still trying to figure out if there’s an Odysseus factor here or not with Bea and Alan, though I tend to outthink myself. Bea’s a hottie in the black dress and Ben looks well in the sports coat well. I assume no padding in the shoulders? lol

Afraid I never took an art class. lol I was learning about the authors in history, though I know a few of those pics pretty well. But I already have a teaser comic and sexy Nathan so I’d not be entering anyway. No fair to do so. ;)

I could not resist trying to see if I could name all artists. It was fun, but I just wanted to say, after reading online comics for almost a decade… this is definitely the best and the most beautifully drawn comic I have ever seen. And I am definitely glad Bea was woken up in time for her date. :)

Aww… I recognize nearly all of those pictures, but I never learned the artists’ names. Oh well.
I love today’s pages! I especially love Ben’s slightly muddy (or rusty?) pickup truck sitting by that HUGE house! lol! XD

Mehehehe, I gotta admit I really do like Ben (plus being a Texas gal I like trucks, sometimes stereotypes fit). He and Alan are my favorites behind Nathan. I can never decide who really gets that second place though…:P

Is it just me or do the page numbers to the actual comic pages not match with the links? Or are they ahead by one number due to the cover page being the actual page 1?
I wonder whose portrait Bea is going to see at the gallery? :P
