So, Issue #3 of The Dreamer is up on WOWIO!!
Remember, dowloading on WOWIO costs you nothing, but I actually make money for every time you download. So support me, and get a fun comic to read as well! (I’m sorry, but WOWIO is still for U.S. Residents only. So make friends with an American, and have them download it for you!) :)
Issue #3 was a lot of fun all on its own, but I’m also excited about this issue because included in this pdf is the written script for the first eight pages. A lot of you have asked me how I write. I write the entire issue, then go back and break it into pages and panels, always trying to end each page in such a way that it propels you forward to the next page. So that takes a lot of time to break my writing down into pages that will work well as one collected 25 page issue, as well as single 2 page updates. Even when the script is “finished” I seldom leave it alone–when I do my rough layouts I often discover that things aren’t working like I thought they would, and you can see all my penciled in corrections & revisions on this script.
Oh, and Chris Oatley posted his fourth tutorial on the painting of the Issue #4 cover. I thought this one had some good stuff in it about using reference material when you’re drawing/painting. He has some of my 1,000 reference photos up there, which is fun. I always tell people to use reference when they draw. I do all the time. It’s not cheating. Michelangelo and Norman Rockwell used reference/models. And it made them amazing. So go check it out.
And lastly, we added Project Wonderful Skyscraper Ad here on The Dreamer page. Bid away!

I thought you might enjoy this story that we did on a Florida woman whose family served as models for Normal Rockwell.
Enjoy!
